PURPOSE:To uniformly reduce and ease the temperature rise in a tyre and the rigidity difference of rubber so as to prevent the ply of a belt layer portion from coming off other plys and prevent rubber from coming off by forming a buttress recessed portion between shoulder grooves whose tyre radial direction inside edge is on a buff line. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tyre 1 has a carcass 13, a belt layer 14 and a tread portion 15. Shoulder portions 2 are arranged at the portions P in the vinity of both ends of the tread portion 15 and as well a buttress portion 6 is arranged between the shoulder portion 2 and a tyre maximum width portion WE. In this structure, in the shoulder portion 2, a shoulder groove 6 whose tyre radial direction inside edge 6A is on a buff line 5 is recessedly provided in the tyre circumferential direction. Also, in the buttress portion 7, a buttress recessed portion 10 whose tyre radial direction outside edge 10A is located in the tyre radial direction inner of the buff line 5 is separately provided in the middle of each shoulder groove 6. |
