PURPOSE: To improve the characteristics and fitness of a cushion by partitioning the inside of a nonexpansional, flat airtight cushion body into a plurality of compartment chambers with flexible partition wall bodies and providing communication channels for adjacent components. CONSTITUTION: Compartments 3 are formed in a nonexpansional, flat airtight cushion body 1 made of a polyvinyl chloride sheet with flexible partition wall bodies 2 made of a polyvinyl chloride sheet. Then, communication channels 4 are formed side by side at the ends of both sides in the cushion body 1, and in addition to this, an inlet opening 5 with a check valve is formed for the lower end. In these arrangements, it is possible to obtain the stable resilience of a cushion with the effects of the characteristics of a cushion due to shock- absorbing and shape-retaining actions and the characteristics of equally dispersing body weight due to the transfer of air with time against the initial application of the load of the body pressure when in use. |
