PURPOSE:To suppress the removal and pulverization of Pb due to the expansion and shrinkage of Pb and extend the cycle life by containing Cu in a negative electrode containing Pb and Cd of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 1 added with Cu to Cd, In, Pb alloy is pressed and fixed to a stainless negative electrode current collector 2 formed inside a stainless sealing plate 3. Since the negative electrode 1 with such structure contains Cu not occluding or discharging Li, it suppresses the expansion or shrinkage of Cd contributing to the charge and discharge and suppresses the removal and pulverization of Pb. The cycle life is thereby extended, no dendrite is generated at the time of the large-capacity and high-efficiency charge, and the stable charge and discharge can be obtained. |
