PURPOSE:To suppress dye stain as well as to obtain satisfactory color reproducibility and sharpness by incorporating silver halide particles made of silver chloride into one of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers and a pyrazoloazole type cyan coupler into the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:A compd. represented by formula I is incorporated into at least one of photographic constituent layers by 1-20mg/m<2>. Silver halide particles made essentially of silver chloride are incorporated into at least one of the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers and at least one kind of pyrazoloazole type cyan coupler having at least one electron withdrawing group at a substitutable position other than the active site of the pyrazoloazole ring is incorporated into the red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. In formula I, each of R and R' is cyano, carboxyl, etc., each of Z and Z' is H, Na, etc., and each of n and m is 1 or 2. Rapid processing is enabled, dye stain is suppressed and high sharpness and satisfactory color reproducibility are obtd. |
