PURPOSE:To reduce energy loss and to improve efficiency by placing an electric- mechanical energy conversion element near the neural surface of the flexure of an elastic oscillator. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating wave motor is constituted of a metallic elastic oscillator 1, and electric-mechanical energy conversion element 2, a supporting material 3 made of felt, etc., and a moving substance 4. A step 1a is provided to the internal peripheral section of the elastic oscillator 1, and said conversion element 2 is joined to the plane section of the step 1a (close to the neutral surface 5). When amplitude of the elastic oscillator 1 is thereby maintained the same as existing one, strains imposed on said conversion element 2 are reduced, and can withstand larger amplitude accordingly so that a high speed driving of the moving substance 4 can be performed. |
