PURPOSE:To obtain superior record density by adding cellulose nitrate or acetate to an insulating resin in an amount of 0.5-10wt.% of the resin solid component. CONSTITUTION:The insulating resin to be used at least one of the resins of a polymer of copolymer containing repeating units derived from butyl and/or ethyl methacrylate, and cellulose nitrate or acetate is added to said resin in an amount of 0.5-10wt.% of the resin solid component, and if its addition amount is <=0.5wt.%, an effect of enhancing record density becomes poor, and is over 10wt.%, said effect reaches a saturate point and becomes indifferent, and induces deterioration of record density, and increasing viscosity of a coating material and renders coating difficult, thus permitting the obtained electrostatic recording material to be enhanced in record density by using the n-butyl methacrylate resin superior in fixability. |
