PURPOSE:To prevent an accident such as the breakage of an equipment by squeezing the anode gas feed quantity to a catalyst combustor and the fuel feed quantity to an anode to control the fuel cell output. CONSTITUTION:The fuel FG is fed to the anode 3 of a fused carbonate type fuel cell 1, the anode gas containing the unreacted fuel discharged from the anode 3 is fed to a catalyst combustor 7 via a blower 6, on the other hand air A is compressed by a compressor 8, it is then guided to the catalyst combustor 7 and mixed with the anode gas and burnt, the discharged gas from the catalyst combustor 7 is fed to a cathode 2. When a load is quickly decreased, the anode gas flow not changing the heat generation quantity of the gas at the inlet of the catalyst combustor 7 is calculated to suppress the quick rise of the heat generation quantity of the gas at the inlet of the catalyst combustor 7, the anode gas feed quantity is squeezed to this value, the feed quantity of the fuel FG to the anode 3 is decreased, and the fuel cell output is controlled. The abnormal rise of the combustion temperature of the catalyst combustor is thereby prevented, and the breakage of an equipment can be prevented. |
