PURPOSE:To enhance combustion efficiency and reduce the size and weight of oil burner by preheating the air to be supplied to an oil burner used for hot water heaters and preventing the temperature of vaporized oil gas from decreasing. CONSTITUTION:A burner 13 comprises a long and narrow air discharge slanting angle plate 10, which is provided with a first air discharge port on both sides of a slanting wall 8, and a long narrow air discharge plate 13 which is provided with a long and narrow flame port 2 and a second air spray port. A frame member 18, which opens a combustion port 17 is adapted to cover the burner 13 and forms a first passage 22 which communicates an air supply fan 20 with a flat-shaped air preheating passage 16, and a second passage 23 which communicates an opening section 4 for the preheating passage 16 and a mixing pipe 3 with a first air discharge outlet and a second discharge outlet, using a partition plate 22. This construction makes it possible to improve combustion efficiency, since a primary air which flows from the opening section 4 and a secondary air which is ejected from the first and the second air discharge outlets are heated by a temperature rise of a wall plate 15 when passing through the flat-shaped air preheating section 16. |
