PURPOSE:To prevent image forming defects by stopping paper feeding by a feeding means when moving speed detected by a speed detecting means is beyond a permissible range until the feeding means sends paper after a scanning means has started scanning an original. CONSTITUTION:If the speed detecting means 2 detects that the relative speed exceeds the permissible range in consideration of the original scanning speed of the scanning means M1 and a light source until the feeding means 39 sends paper to a photosensitive body after the scanning means M1 has started scanning, the paper is stopped as it is, and scanning is tried again. Thus, in the copying machine of original platen moving type, image forming defects caused by a user's pushing with his hand can be prevented. If the pressure of hand pushing is released, the excellent image of an object can be obtained by re- scanning. |
