PURPOSE:To easily input data in a scanner by correcting the image data of an apex extracted from the image data which is drawn on a layout specifying paper by matching it with a grid pattern and obtaining rectangular data corresponding to a layout range from the data of the apex already corrected. CONSTITUTION:A computer 2 superposes the grid pattern on the image data to match them and only when they coincide with each other, the apex is extracted as the apex of the rectangle and displayed on a color monitor 3. Next, a 1st apex which is in the shortest distance among the apices whose (x) coordinates coincide and directions of lines are opposed to one another is obtained. Moreover a 2nd apex which is in the shortest distance among the apices whose (y) coordinates coincide and directions of the lines are opposed and a 3rd apex which is the shortest distance among the apices whose (x) coordinates coincide with the 2nd apex and directions of the lines are opposed to the 2nd apex are decided. By repeating such operations, the coordinate data of all the layout ranges is automatically detected. Thus, the layout range is automatically extracted and the rectangular data which shows the layout range can be inputted in a layout scanner with a simple operation. |
