PURPOSE:To detect light beams from plural spots in the wide range of an original and to reduce the density difference of a printed image by providing plural light detection circuits which detect the light beams from the original in an exposure control part which detects the light beams from the original and adjusts the exposure of a light source. CONSTITUTION:The light detection circuits 100a-100c which detect the light beams from the original are provided in the exposure control part 72 of a microfilm reader/printer. When a latent image formed on an image carrier by the plural circuits 100a-100c is normally developed, the circuit which outputs an exposure signal in accordance with the brightness of the texture part of the microfilm is selected from the circuits 100a-100c by a maximum (minimum) value detection circuit 101 and the output therefrom is supplied to a differential amplifier 104 through a switching circuit 102. The outputs from the circuits 100a-100c and the outputs from a reference voltage generation circuit 103 are compared and amplified in the amplifier 104 to be supplied to a lamp regulator circuit 105, then the light source is controlled according to a density signal from the original. |
