PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image at all times without degrading the image density and generating the thinning and ground fogging of characters by coating ceramics contg. Si and/or Ge atoms on the surface of a control member for forming a thinner layer as well. CONSTITUTION:Ceramics layers 57A and 57B contg. the Si and/or Ge atoms are coated on the front and rear faces of an elastic blade 57 to a uniform thickness. These ceramics have particularly high hardness and excellent wear resistance and in addition, the electric conductivity part and electrical conductiveness can be changed over a wide range; therefore, the wear of a developing roller 55 and the elastic blade 57 by the friction between the same is effectively decreased and moreover, the high-quality image is obtd. regardless of the kinds of toners. |
