A radio station in the system has receivers (12,13) for incoming signals from another station, a prodn. unit (8) for a local reference frequency, and units for deriving signals from those received using the local reference frequency, a correlator (20) for the derived signals with synchronisation patterns produced in the station, and a control (6) for at least the reference prodn. unit and the correlator. The pattern prodn. unit (21) provides at least two different synchronisation patterns adjusted to different frequency differences between the local reference frequency of the station and that of the station from which the signals were received. A comparator (6) compares the result of the correlations between the signals derived from those received and the synchronisation patterns. The station is of the mobile type in a digital TDMA system with base stations, and has recording units (19) which record the derived incoming signals within at least one time slot. The pattern prodn. unit incorporates a memory in which a number of synchronisation patterns adjusted to different predetermined frequency differences are stored. |
