<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a water color ink which can give a recorded image excellent in water and light resistance, good in color tone of magenta or red and causes no clogging when used in ink jet recording, by using a water-soluble dye of a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:This water color ink contains at least one water-soluble dye of formula I [wherein Ar is formula II (wherein R1 is H, an alkyl, an alkoxyl, a hydroxyalkyl, a halogen or acetyl, R2 is an alkanolamino, morpholinol, OH or NH2, l is 0 or 1, and X is an alkali metal or H)], e.g., a dye of formula I (wherein Ar is formula III or IV). This ink is a magenta or red water color ink for ink jet recording, which can give an image excellent in sharpness and water and light resistance, excels in the stability of direction of jet, and does not cause clogging.</p> |
