PURPOSE:To obtain a flame-retardant resin compsn. generating no corrosive gas when burnt and having excellent mechanical characteristics, by compounding a polyolefin resin with N,N'-m-phenylenebismaleimide. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. is obtd. by compounding 100pts.wt. polyolefin resin with 0.1-20pts.wt. N,N'-m-phenylenebismaleimide. If the amt. of N,N'-m- phenylenebismaleimide is less than 0.1pt.wt., no fame retardance is obtd. and if it is more than 20pts.wt., the flame-retardant effect reaches the top and becomes uneconomical. In this flame-retardant resin compsn., flame-retardants other than N,N'-m-phenylenebismaleimide can be used in parallel and higher flame retardance can be thereby obtd. As the flame-retardant, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, carbon black etc. can be cited and halogenated flame-retardant can be used in parallel, depending on the application. |
