PURPOSE:To obtain a ceramic roll used for heating a synthetic resin sheet, preventing self-adhesion between a sheet-like material and the roll from occurring and producing no flaw on the surface of the sheet, by making the surface shape of a ceramic-coated roll to be appropriate. CONSTITUTION:Average roughness on the central line of the surface roughness of a ceramic roll is 0.7-2.0mum. If the average roughness 4 of the central line is lower than the lower limit of the above-described range, self-adhesion between the roll and a synthetic resin sheet tends to occur and on the contrary, if it is higher than the upper limit of the above-described range, the synthetic resin sheet slips on the roll and it causes occurrence of flaw. Moreover, the max. depth of the surface roughness is 15mum or smaller. If the max. depth is larger than the upper limit of the above- described range, as the thermal conductivity is powered, crater-shaped spots are partially transferred on the synthetic resin sheet and the appearance becomes worse. No. of recessed parts (roughness density) of 0.5mum or larger are 17-28/mm length. If the roughness density exceeds the upper limit of the above-described range, the synthetic resin sheet slips and it causes occurrence of flaw. On the contrary, it becomes less than the lower limit of the above-described range, the synthetic resin sheet becomes easily adhered with the roll. |
