PURPOSE:To simplify the shape and structure of the title ink cartridge holder and to enable its installation space to be reduced, by constructing the title ink cartridge so that locking of a cover is released and an ink cartridge is locked with a projection part for a guide formed on a side of the ink cartridge. CONSTITUTION:An ink cartridge 4 is so constructed that a guide projection part 401 for mounting to an ink jet recorder has both a function for releasing prevention of rotation of a cover 2 and a function for engaging the ink cartridge 4 with a mounting position to stop loosening. Therefore, a traditional cartridge locking means can be disused, and the shape and structure of the ink cartridge 4 and a guide member 1 can be simplified. Reduction of the number of assembling man hour, and miniaturization and cost down of an apparatus can be achieved. |
