The points 10 of the ignition distributor 1 consists of an insulating support 11 on which there are located two conducting tabs 13 and 14, the support including a passageway 16 inside and at the ends of which there are located the ends of the said conducting tabs 13 and 14. A suppressor resistor 15 in the form of a rod of polyamide loaded with carbon is located in the passageway 16, its ends being in contact with the conducting tabs 13 and 14. <IMAGE>
