The invention relates to an apparatus for cervicouterine insemination of ovines (sheep). This apparatus comprises a syringe, a rod which is connected thereto and a hollow fertilisation needle which comprises at the tip a spherical head. The said apparatus is inserted 60 to 70 mm through the neck of the uterus of fertile sheep, kept in the presence of "guinea-pig" rams (sexually active but made incapable of fertilisation selected on the basis of the tolerance reflex, by turning it clockwise. <IMAGE>
