PURPOSE:To improve the extent of rigidity in roof trimming and appearability at the indoor side without using any special reinforcing materials by compressing the roof trimming consisting of a resin foaming agent, forming a lot of grooves, and hardening a bottom part of each groove. CONSTITUTION:Roof trimming 5 consisting of a resin foaming material is installed at the indoor side in a roof panel 2 of an automobile. In this case, a lot of grooves 5a are compressed and formed in this roof trimming 5 at specified intervals. In brief, the roof trimming 5 consisting of urethane foam 5b, by way of example, is compressed and, for example, a lot of grooves 5a are formed over both directions from both ends, and a compressed part at the outside in each bottom part 5c of these grooves 5 is hardened. Afterward, the indoor side of the urethane foam 5b is covered with an outer cover material 5d, while a glass fiber sheet 5e is interposed between these elements. With this constitution, rigidity in the roof trimming 5 and appearability at the indoor side both are improved without using any special reinforcing materials. |
