The subject of the present invention is a method for mounting an air-conditioner on a vehicle in which sealing is provided with the aid of an air inlet seal 1 located in a plane which is substantially parallel to the direction of approach of the air-conditioner for being joined onto the vehicle. According to the invention, a tubular seal 11 is used which has been flattened by being evacuated. After mounting the seal 11 is opened to the atmosphere, and resumes its normal shape thereby providing a sealing. <IMAGE>
