<p>The invention relates to a temperature-maintaining furnace for metallurgic products, more particularly for bars, comprising a roller pathway (1) extending through a thermally-insulated tunnel including a passive region of mere thermal insulation and an active reheating region. According to the invention, burners (21) are provided at the active region in the roof or vault of the tunnel in successive rows transverse to the roller pathway. Moreover, according to the invention, the active region is provided with a smoke evacuation system (38,39,41,42, or 43,44). The invention contemplates as well a particular construction of the rollers (2) for the roller pathway.</p> |
