摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the holding characteristic, display characteristic and reliability of a display device by forming a transparent electrode for forming a capacitor under a transparent picture element electrode and connecting this electrode to the gate wire of the next stage. CONSTITUTION:The capacitor Cst is formed between the picture element 9 and the transparent electrode 13 connected to the gate of the next stage in a superposed part 7. A drain electrode of a TFT is formed in a TFT part 4 of a data line 1. The ITO transparent electrode 13 is formed on a glass substrate 14 in this case and gate wiring 3 is executed by depositing and working Cr. A gate insulating film 11 and an SiN film 11 in common use as an insulating film for forming the capacitor are formed after the gate formation and in succession, an (i) layer 8 and an (n) layer 15 consisting of a-Si are respectively formed. Two-layered Cr/Al structure are used for the drain and source electrodes of the TFT and ITO for the picture element electrode 9 is deposited and worked after working. Driving is executed by impressing the pulse of the reverse polarity to a gate pulse to a gate wire 3 of the next stage in synchronization with the gate pulse for driving the TFT.</p>
