<p>PURPOSE:To improve tape startup characteristics and to narrow a tape resonance band and also to reduce jitter components by forming at least one part of each of one pair of inclined blocks on their opposite surfaces to a rotary drum so as to be shaped approximately along the rotary drum surface and disposing them in the vicinity of the rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:At least one part of each of the opposite surfaces of one pair of the inclined blocks 113 and 114 to the rotary drum 110 is shaped approximately along the surface of the rotary drum 110 on the side of a tape path in the vicinity of abutting of a magnetic tape surface against the rotary drum 110 in each tape path formed between the one pair of the inclined blocks 113 and 114 and the rotary drum 110. Then, the one pair of the inclined blocks 113 and 114 are disposed in the vicinity of the rotary drum 110 respectively. By this method, the improvement in the tape startup characteristics, the narrowage of the tape resonance band and the reduction of the jitter component can thus be contrived.</p> |
