When the content of start ID changes from 0 to 1, the start ID recorded in a subcode area on a tape indicates a starting point of the program. The invention is provided with storage means (55, 66, 75) that stores the tape position for starting the re-recording of start ID=1, and start ID discrimination means (54, 65, 74) for discriminating whether the start ID=1 is recorded or not just before the tape position at which the re-recording of start ID=1 is started. When it is discriminated by the start ID discrimination means that the start ID=1 is recorded, the tape is rewound up to the position where the start ID=0 is recorded, and the start ID=0 is recorded through up to the tape position stored in the storage means. Thereafter, the start ID=1 is recorded for a predetermined period of time. When it is discriminated that the start ID=0 is recorded, the start ID=1 is immediately recorded for a predetermined period of time from the tape position stored in the storage means to obviate cumbersome operation. |
