The invention relates to a flat tilt-and-slide sunroof for motor vehicles, with a roof panel which in its closed position closes a roof opening, can optionally be displaced into an opening position uncovering the roof opening or can be tilted up into a ventilation position and is supported in a cassette which can be adjusted at least into a position in which it is bent downwards and corresponds to the sliding position of the panel. In the case of a flat tilt-and-slide sunroof for motor vehicles of this kind it is proposed that the lifting and lowering devices allocated to the adjusting movement of the cassette be allocated by means of drives, in particular linear motors, which are independent of the drive of the panel. <IMAGE>
