A power supply device for an electrical load (RL) has at least two power supply appliances (10, 11) which have a magnetic voltage stabiliser (16, 17). The secondary side of each voltage stabiliser has a measuring device (21), using which secondary-side phase shifts between secondary-side current and secondary-side voltage can be detected. The measuring device drives a switch (20) which is located on the primary side of the voltage stabiliser (16), which switches the switch (20) off whenever a phase angle (Delta1) occurs. The primary-side line region (14, 15) is thereby disconnected. <IMAGE>
