A paraglider which is formed from flexible material and is in the form of a wing, having upper and lower covering webs and profile webs fixed between them, which profile webs in each case bound ram-air chambers which can be inflated by the incident air, whose ram-air inlets (7) are arranged in the front region of the wing, a profiled nose being formed in front of the ram-air inlets by the vortices produced by the incident air, and having a reinforcing rod (6) which is stiff in terms of bending and runs in the direction of the wing span. The multi-element reinforcing rod (6), which is arranged in sheathing in the region of the upper edge of the ram-air inlets (7) and is connected to the front end of the upper covering webs (3), can be provided with a second multi-element reinforcing bar (14), which is stiff in bending and whose distance from the upper rod (6) can be reduced by cords whose path is deflected. <IMAGE>
