The invention relates to a flat tilt-and-slide sunroof for motor vehicles, with a roof panel which in its closed position closes a roof opening, can optionally be displaced into an opening position uncovering the roof opening or can be tilted up into a ventilation position and is supported in a cassette which can be adjusted at least into a position in which it is bent downwards and corresponds to the sliding position of the panel. In the case of a flat tilt-and-slide sunroof of this kind it is proposed that the two halves of a cassette designed in two parts be coupled to the vehicle roof in a hinged manner which allows them to swivel, via torsion springs.
