PURPOSE:To obtain practicable high sensitivity characteristics and stable potential characteristics at the time of repeated uses and wide spectral sensitivity from the visible light region to the infrared region by incorporating a specified disazo pigment in a photoconductive layer formed on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer formed on the conductive substrate contains at least one of the disazo pigments represented by formula I in which each of A1 and A2 is a coupler residue having a phenolic OH group, optionally same or different from each other; each of R1-R4 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, nitro, or cyano, optionally same or different from each other, thus permitting practicable high sensitivity characteristics and stable potential characteristics under high temperature and high humidity at the time of repeated uses and wide spectral sensitivity ranging from the visible light region to the infrared region to be obtained. |
