Abrasive wheel with a support body (3), the wheel edge (5) of which is coated with an abrasive, e.g. with cubical boron nitride. These abrasive-coated areas (6) are interrupted by cooling-oil grooves (7). The abrasive wheel is surrounded by a covering hood (11) which forms an oil-retaining space (8) with the support body (3) and has a cutout at the wheel edge (5) as working-region access (12). In the support body (3) there are bores (9) which connect an oil-supplying system to the cooling-oil grooves (7). <IMAGE>
