An article, e.g. a saw bar or sword, is enclosed between two foils (1) having a larger width than the article, said foil portions forming a package and being arranged to adhere to the article as well as to each other outside the article. The parts of the foil portions adhering to each other outside the article are separable from the parts of the foil portions adhering to the article by means of a weakening of the foil portions in connection with an edge of the article and facilitating the separation. According to a method for enclosing the article between foil portions a weakening may as an example be obtained by means of grooved rolls (5), which break the foil portions against the edges of the article. |
