PURPOSE:To prevent the variation in printing pressures by reducing the magnetic interference of a magnet driving the wire as well as to permit the driving of a wire dop printing head by an inexpensive drive circuit by providing a specific double staggering arrangement for the tip of the wire of the wire dot printing head. CONSTITUTION:In a wire dot printing head in which large numbers of magnets are arranged cylindrically, a double staggering arrangement is provided to the tip of a wire pin A. In this case, between pins in each row is set to 4P(P is dot pitch), the positions of pins A in the second row are biased by 2P in the vertical direction and by betaP sideways in relation to the first row, the positions of pins A in the third row are separated by 1P and alphaP in relation to the first row, and the positions of pins A in the fourth row are separated by 3P and (alpha+beta)P in relation to the first row, where alpha is an actual numeral. When beta is 1/2, coincidence excitation number can be set to the maximum of 12 pins. |
