PURPOSE:To reduce NOx concentration and unburnt components in ashes by successively controlling the rotary vane opening in a secondary combustion air passage, a combustion air flow rate and a atomizing medium flow rate by means of temperature sensors disposed inside and outside a flame stabilizer to evaluate the status of flame stability near a burner outlet. CONSTITUTION:Signals 16, 17 from temperature sensors 14, 15 disposed inside and outside a flame stabilizer 8 are inputted to an arithmetic unit 20, where the flame stability near a burner outlet is evaluated based on the preset relationship between the flame stability and temperature difference. If there is too great a temperature difference and a poor flame stability, a signal from the arithmetic unit 20 is inputted to a vane actuator 21 to reduce the opening of the rotary vane 12 to enhance the swirl of the secondary combustion air. If the flame does not stabilize even after such control, the steam flow rate for atomization is adjusted by a regulator valve 23 based on a signal 24. If the stability is not enough, a damper 25 is closed by a signal 26 to change the distribution of combustion air. If it is yet insufficient, a combustion air regulating damper 27 is closed by a signal 28 so as to reduce the NOx concentration and unburnt components in the ashes. |
