PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber structure having little fluff, free from irritation to skin and capable of sufficiently exhibiting cool feeling of hemp by smoothening the tip of single fiber of hemp and reducing unevenness of the side. CONSTITUTION: A cut sliver obtained by scouring a fiber structure containing hemp as one component and cutting the resultant sliver is treated with an aqueous solution of a natural cellulolytic enzyme to provide the objective fiber structure containing a short fiber, in which the tip of a short fiber is smooth, free from unevenness of the side as a component. A fiber structure (e.g. cloth) containing the hemp short fiber and cotton or/and a synthetic fiber as components can be utilized for uses such as underclothes, because the fiber structure has little fluff and is free from irritation to skin which is defect of conventional hemp. A fiber structure capable of increasing mixing ratio of hemp in the case of mixture of hemp with the other fiber and sufficiently exhibiting cool feeling is obtained. |
