摘要 PURPOSE:To execute the traverse counting with the high accuracy of one track unit for a recording track by providing a clock information pit, a tracking information pit and a traverse information pit at a disk recording medium. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk D divides a recording area ARc for controlling a block BLn into a servo area ARS and a traverse area ART and tracking information pits QA and QC and a clock information pit QB are linearly in the diameter direction of the area ARS. One channel bit only of a relative distance P of traverse information pits QD and QE of the area ART is dislocated between adjoining tracks and one side of a pair of bits QD and QE is provided so as to be the same position. Consequently, the pattern of the pits QD and QE is read by the reproducing clock of the pit QB based on the stable tracking control based on the pits QA and QC and thus, the traverse counting with the high accuracy of one track unit for a recording track is executed.
