The invention pertains to a process for the manufacture of a wastewater pumping station as well as a wastewater pumping station that includes an initial receptacle space chiefly made from armoured plastic and which functions as an intake well for the wastewater, and a second receptacle space chiefly made from armoured plastic, and designed as a cylindrical pumping station building, and which features at least one dry-installed drain pump whose intake pipes are linked by the first receptacle space and outflow pipes to, for instance, a water filtration plant. To achieve a compact and strong wastewater pumping station, the principally cylindrical pumping station building's (2) side features an opening that begins essentially at the bottom of the pumping station building, into which a retainer segment (1) is fitted, which is as wide as the opening and which forms the intake well for the wastewater and also forms a protruding bulge on the pumping station building's side.<IMAGE>
