Two transmit/receive channels (4,5) working at different frequencies (f1,f2) produce simultaneously and independently azimuth and elevation error signals (alpha, lambda) from echoes (e1,e2) received as a consequence of transmissions (S1,S2) at these frequencies via a common antenna (1) positioned by azimuth and elevation servomotors (2,3). The error signals are forwarded to an integrated circuit (20) incorporating condition test circuits (12,13) whose outputs control the mechanical switching (21,22) of signals from azimuth and elevation error comparators (10,11). The smallest or greatest absolute values of signal are selected as appropriate for combination (alpha k, lambda k) in the control of the antenna servos (2,3) in accordance two freqences. with the detected relative magnitudes of error at the USE/ADVANTAGE - In e.g. marine radar. Improves lracking accuracy with redn. of errors and failures by signal processing to minimise statistical variations.
