<p>A ball-valve-type fluid coupling has identical interconnectable parts having low fluid spillage during disconnection. The rotatable ball valve is axially displaceable by a cam structure along a flow passage as the valve is rotated between open and closed positions. This prevents the valve from passing through the plane of a coupling connection end during valve operation. The valve exterior surface includes a flat coupling connection end sealing surface substantially coplanar to the coupling connection end when the valve is closed, to reduce trapping fluid and spillage.</p> |
