PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of the rotary compressor by rotatably arranging a cylinder having vanes in the inner peripheral part, around a fixed shaft formed integrally with an eccentric piston part and revolving said cylinder together with a drive part consisting of a permanent magnet and a stator. CONSTITUTION:When a stator 39 is brought into electric conduction in a dc- driven outer rotor type rotary compressor, a permanent magnet 38 and a rotary yoke plate 37 are revolved by the magnetic field generated by said electric conduction, and the upper and lower bearings 33 and 35 and a cylinder 31 are revolved. Therefore, the coolant gas is sucked from a suction port 23, and introduced into the space formed between the cylinder 31, bearings 31 and 35, and a piston part 22, and a vane 29 is pressed onto the periphery of the piston part 22 and revolved, accompanied with the revolution of the cylinder 31, and the coolant gas is compressed. If, through this compression, the coolant gas pressure increases a little in comparison with the internal space pressure of a housing 40, a discharge valve 34 is opened, and the coolant gas is discharged into the housing 40 from a discharge port 32. |
