PURPOSE: To improve the fidelity to original sounds by detecting the level difference of digital sound data and comparing it with level difference reference data and outputting a data extraction control signal in accordance with the comparison result to perform extraction. CONSTITUTION: For the purpose of not giving a sense of incompatibility by data extraction processing, the level difference of digital sound data is detected by a detector 4, and detected data (b) is compared with level difference reference data (b), and a data extractor 9 extracts data at the time of coincidence between them. The number of data to be extracted in each group is limited by a controller 8. Consequently, two or more continuous data in one block cannot be extracted, and data is kept in the state very close to frequency components of a sound signal before time base compression. Thus, the time base is so compressed that the frequency change of sounds on hearing cannot be sensed, 1 and the fidelity to original sounds is improved. |
