PURPOSE:To prevent the insulation of stator windings from being destroyed due to heat generated on a resistance member, by short-circuiting between two sets of the coaxially arranged rotors of an induction motor, with the resistance member, and by arranging heat interrupting units between the resistance member and the winding ends of stators. CONSTITUTION:On a rotor shaft 4, rotor cores 2, 5, 3 are fitted, and respective conductors 6 arranged respectively on the rotor cores 2, 5, 3 are connected penetrated through the rotor cores 2, 5, 3 to form an integral rotor 7. The conductors 6 are respectively connected at the rotor core 5 via a resistance member 9. In the meantime, stators 24, 25 with windings 22, 23 arranged on the external side, confronted with the rotor cores 2, 3 are arranged in parallel with a machine frame 14. The one side of the stators 24, 25 is provided with a voltage phase shifter. Besides, in a space between the windings 22, 23 wound on the stators 24, 25, and the resistance member 19, heat interrupting units 39A, 39B are arranged. |
