<p>PURPOSE:To provide a pointing device capable of fuzzy instruction for selecting a candidate to be selected without restricting it to a candidate just under a pointing position based upon a reference for interpreting positional data and the information structure of the candidate to be selected. CONSTITUTION:This pointing device is provided with a pointing input receiving part 1 for receiving positional data based upon pointing operation, an extended interpretation reference storing part 2 for storing rules of interpreting input data, a pointing selection candidate map 3 for storing the information struction of a candidate to be selected which is visually displayed, an extended interpretation part 4 for interpreting input data and determining a candidate to be selected based upon the information structure stored in the map 3 and the rules stored in the storing part 2, and an integrated output part 5 for visually displaying the candidate to be selected.</p> |
