PURPOSE:To evade the wavelength fluctuation and the reduction of the reliability of a laser by heating, first, a heating part, when an optical spot arrives at the prescribed position of a recording medium, increasing the light quantity of a laser, recording it, and reducing the heating of the heating part. CONSTITUTION:First, a controller 8 commands to a driving means 3, a semiconductor laser 1 is light-emitted and a heating part 10 is heated. When a prescribed time passes after the heating is started, the controller 8 sends an information signal to the means 3, changes the light emitting quantity of the laser 1 in accordance with the signal and the current of the heating part 10 and the laser 1 are complementarily changed. Consequently, the heating quantity of the chip as a whole including the heating part 10 and the laser 1 is kept constant and the wavelength fluctuation is minimized. Thus, when the heating is first started and the optical spot comes to a prescribed place, the light quantity of the laser is increased and recorded, the heating quantity is reduced, the wavelength fluctuation of the laser is suppressed, and the reduction of the reliability is loaded. |
