PURPOSE:To enable to cut the thickness of a package accurately even when a difference in height occurs at the right and left ends of a web, by equipping a cutting equipment wherein a cutter blade to cut a packaging material at the end of a web and a stopper to regulate a cutting depth of the cutter blade to the web are integrally supported on a bracket. CONSTITUTION:When a cutter blade 5 reaches a cutting position at an end surface 16 of a web, the cutter blade is made to descend by an air cylinder 7, comes into contact with a web 3, and cuts a packaging material 4. In the mean time, a suction equipment 12, which confronts the end surface of the web, makes a suction port 11 come into contact with the end surface of the web; the end surface is drawn by a suction pump 18. When a cutting of the packaging material by the cutter blade has been completed, the suction port is pulled by a cylinder 17; the end surface of the web is removed. Now, when a scale 20 of a stopper 6 is set at a cutting depth of the cutter blade, and the cylinder is extended; the cutter blade cuts the packaging material by a thickness equal to the set cutting depth. Since this cutting equipment 8 is arranged at both ends of a web, the variance of cutting depth can be prevented; the cutting always can be conducted with a uniform depth. |
