PURPOSE:To obviate the necessity for a magnetic head so as to accomplish high-speed recording by providing a magnetic field generating means for recording a magnetic latent image on a recording medium through addition of magnetic field when cooling a mesh pattern of the recording medium heated by a recording means to a temperature equal to or less than its superconductive critical temperature. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 10 in which a mesh pattern is formed from a superconductive material on the surface of a substrate is rotated in the direction shown by an arrow and heated to a temperature equal to or more than its critical temperature by irradiating recording light 14 in accordance with the pattern of an original. Following this, the recording medium 10 is cooled to a temperature equal to or less than its critical temperature while imparting a certain external magnetic field to the recording medium 10 by means of a magnet 15 so as to form a positive latent image thereon by capturing the magnetic field at the part of the recording medium 10 where the light has been irradiated by the action of Meissner effect. Afterwards this positive latent image is developed by means of a developer 16 so as to become visible. A recording paper 17 is then brought into press contact with the recording medium 10 with toner being transferred onto the recording paper 17 so as to accomplish high-speed recording of a desired pattern on the recording paper 17. After the transfer has been completed, the remaining toner is removed by means of a cleaner 20. |
