<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a touch type coordinate input device which excels in the high resolution and high accuracy by using a coordinate change component input means which produces the coordinate position change component data equal to one to the prescribed integer compared with the shift amount of the coordinate position and supplies said data to a display device. CONSTITUTION:An absolute coordinate input means 8 supplies the absolute coordinate data into a display device 1 in accordance with the touch start positions of intersecting points 4. A coordinate change component input means 9 produces the coordinate position change component data equal to one to the prescribed integer (N) compare with the shift of the coordinate position from the touch start position of the point 4. A cursor is displayed at first at the touch start position of the display screen of the device 1 based on the absolute coordinate data. Then, the display position of the cursor moves by the coordinate change amount data by 1/N, e.g., 1/10 compared with the shift extent of the touch position every time this touch position moves to an adjacent point 4. Thus, it is possible to ensure the input of the position coordinates except those of the X-Y intersecting points and then to improve the resolution.</p> |
