PURPOSE:To enable recording of a magnetic latent image by irradiation of light and control of an external magnetic field by forming network-like patterns consisting of a superconductive material on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A recording medium 10 is produced by forming columnar projections at equal intervals on a cylindrical substrate 11 consisting of a soft magnetic material and packing network-like patterns 12 consisting of the superconductive materials therebetween. The medium 10 is rotated in an arrow direction and the entire surface is heated to the critical temp. or above by a halogen lamp 14; thereafter, a magnetic field is applied to the medium by a magnet 15. The recording medium is cooled down to the critical temp. or below while the magnetic field is held impressed thereto so that the magnetic field is captured over the entire surface of the medium 10. Recording light 16 is then projected on an arbitrary part to heat said part to the critical temp. or above; thereafter, said part is cooled down to the critical temp. or below to annihilate the magnetic field, by which the negative latent image is formed. The latent image is in succession developed by a developing device 17 and is transferred onto paper 18 for toner recording. The entire surface is heated by the halogen lamp 20 to erase the latent image. |
