PURPOSE:To reduce the dispersion and obtain a low discharge rate by limiting the iron content in cellophane to 20ppm or below. CONSTITUTION:Part of iron in cellophane 4 is gradually solved in an electrolyte to become ions, then are deoxidized into metal iron when they reach a negative electrode, and a local cell is formed between it and negative electrode active material zinc 9. Iron ions moved to the negative electrode are increased in proportion with the iron content in cellophane, thus the self discharge is accelerated and increased. The iron content is limited to 20ppm or below for use. A cell with little dispersion and a low self-discharge rate can be thereby obtained. |
