PURPOSE:To improve safety, by a method wherein a light path formed by a light emitting means and a light collecting means is present throughout a range from a top plate to the front of a guard, approach of a combustible substance is detected, and a signal is outputted to at least either of an alarming means or an extinguishing means. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a light emitting means 1 is reflected by a reflecting means 2 and collected by a light collecting means 3 of the front guard part of a stove. When an object or a human body to shield a light path extending from the light emitting means 1 to the light collecting means 3 approaches the stove, a signal from the light collecting means 3 is not inputted to a control means 6. An ON signal is outputted and an alarming means 4 is driven to sound an alarm, and simultaneously an extinguishment signal is outputted to an extinguishing means 5 of a burner. This constitution enables execution of safe heating. |
